Just a typical Awka background ^^. Fortunately I live near the places that story takes places in, so I was able to personally visit plenty of them. and while I *can* take reference from photos, I very much prefer to go there and feel it with my five senses. which may sound cheesy, and may not reflect well in my pictures, but I'm an outdoors person and that's how it works alot better for me. Ah, my art is getting a slow start this year it seems, but it's definitively having one. My life has been very moved lately, which aint a bad thing, but is keeping me busy enough for a while. Right now I am in the middle of some culling of all the old stuff I have stored at my parents's. And while plenty of things are certainly going to be kept as mementos, I'm relieved to see I can throw things and not feel bad about it (I was even keeping books and notes from Elementary school. wtf). Is this part of what "being an adult" means? lol.
All I can say is, art-wise, I have many plans for this year, but I will write longer in a journal about it. It had to do with embracing my roots. I am eager about some things, which you'll later see.
Moving on. if there's a valuable thing I've learned since 2009, when I left Biochemistry (which I'll continue someday, or not) is being able to move on. A very valuable thing to learn, I tell you.
ehm, enjoy the painting I guess xD
